Credit Bank of Moscow attracts $300 mln ESG syndicated loan
MOSCOW, Oct 12 (PRIME) -- The Credit Bank of Moscow has become the first Russian bank to qualify for an environmental, social, governance (ESG) principle-based KPI-bound syndicated loan of U.S. $300 million, the bank said in a statement on Wednesday.
“The bank signed an agreement to attract a syndicated loan of up to $300 million for a period of two years. A distinctive feature of the new agreement was its linkage to the bank’s performance in the field of sustainable development (Sustainability-Linked Loan),” the bank said.
The bank said it was the first among Russian financial institutions, who organized the attraction of this type.
As of September 1, the Credit Bank of Moscow ranked 9th among Russia’s credit institutions with the capitalization of 3.026 trillion rubles.
